2 day Training Program on
ASP and its Monitoring, Operation and Control
(14-15th November 2008)
Thapar Center for Industrial Research and Development (TCIRD) is organizing 2-day training program on ‘Activated Sludge Treatment Process and its Monitoring, Operation and Control’ during 14-15th November 2008 for the in-charges of ETPs and STPs. This training program is meant to provide the much needed understanding about the ASP, and to impart the techniques and skills needed for the monitoring, operation and control of the ASP. To be more specific, in the program the following aspects will be covered:

Fundamentals of ASP

Variants of the ASP and their applications in the wastewater treatment

Design ASP
-
Monitoring, operation and control of an ASP
-
Laboratory techniques for the monitoring
-
Performance evaluation of an ASP in operation
-
Problems associated with an ASP and trouble shooting
The training program will be delivered through lectures, workshops and demonstrative laboratory sessions.

Program dates and duration: 14-15th October 2008 for 2 days
Target participants:

Middle level managers with ASP monitoring, operation and control responsibility, specially ETP and/or STP in-charges.

Design engineers from consultancy firms

Academicians and researchers
Maximum number of participants: 30 (program will not be held if the participation is less than 20)
Registration fee: Rs. 6,000/- per participant (the fee may preferably be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of the Director, TCIRD payable at Patiala). The registration fee includes registration material, working lunch, and tea and snacks between sessions, and excludes the lodging and boarding expenses of participants.
Lodging and boarding: On the request of the participants, TCIRD can make lodging and boarding arrangements in the TCIRD guest house on payment basis.
